Roz McCarthy is known as a innovative and strategic entrepreneurial leader who gets the job done. She has over 24 years of demonstrated success as a sales, marketing, branding, and business development expert. As the Founder/Executive Director of Minorities for Medical Marijuana, Inc. she is is responsible for the day to day operation and is involved in developing advertising and marketing campaigns to promote awareness, information, and education about the efficacy of medical marijuana. It is a varied role that includes planning, marketing, advertising, public relations, event organization, fund development, sponsorship, and research. The work is often challenging and fast-paced. When asked should marijuana be legalized for medical use…….Without hesitation Roz boldly says yes! “In 1983 my father lost his vision due to glaucoma and in 2005 my mother passed away after a courageous battle against breast cancer. I’m sure if medical marijuana options were available they could have made a difference and improved their quality of life.”

Florida is the fourth-most populous state in the United States. With a population of 18.8 million according to the 2010 census, Florida is the most populous state in the Southeastern United States, and the second-most populous state in the South behind Texas. Within the United States, it contains the highest percentage of people over 65 (17.3%), and the 8th fewest people under 18 (21.9%)
Its residents include people from a wide variety of ethnic, racial, national and religious backgrounds. The state has attracted immigrants, particularly from Latin America.

Our multilingual marketing campaign will target the following voters ranging from 18-55 years old:

Hispanic or Latino ( which will include Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Salvadorans, Dominicans, Guatemalans, Colombians, Hondurans, Ecuadorians and Peruvians)
Blacks or African Americans ( which would include Jamaicans, Haitians, National Africans, Bahamians, and Belizeans)

The Florida Right to Medical Marijuana Initiative, also known as Amendment 2, is on the November 8, 2016 ballot in Florida as an initiated constitutional amendment. A vote “for” the measure would legalize medical marijuana for individuals with debilitating medical conditions as determined by a licensed state physician. Allows medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating medical conditions as determined by a licensed Florida physician. Allows caregivers to assist patients’ medical use of marijuana. The Department of Health shall register and regulate centers that produce and distribute marijuana for medical purposes and shall issue identification cards to patients and caregivers. Applies only to Florida law. Does not immunize violations of federal law or any non-medical use, possession or production of marijuana. Minorities for Medical Marijuana is in support of this measure.
